Psychomotor Therapy

Rehabilitation | Body and emotions

Description

Psychomotor therapy connects body, movement, and emotions. Through play, sensory exploration, and adapted activities, each beneficiary develops body awareness and emotional regulation.

Psychomotor sessions provide a safe space where the child can explore, move, and express themselves freely. The psychomotor therapist adapts activities to each person's sensory and motor profile.

Therapeutic goals

  • Develop body awareness and body schema;
  • Improve coordination and fine motor skills;
  • Support emotional regulation and self-confidence;
  • Strengthen interactions through motor play.

Methods used

Motor courses, symbolic play, relaxation, sensory activities, and spatial work: each session is designed to meet current needs, in line with the individualized educational plan.
